Field of Interest Funds

These endowed Field of Interest funds were established to strengthen CFCI’s ability to support key areas of need across central Illinois. There is no minimum donation, and contributions may qualify for the Illinois Gives Tax Credit.

Basic Human Needs

Supports efforts that provide essentials like food, shelter, housing assistance, clothing, and emergency support for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.

Children and Youth

Supports programs and initiatives across central Illinois that help children and families thrive through education, youth development, mentoring, life skills, and supportive opportunities for growth and success.

Health and Wellness

Supports efforts focused on improving healthcare access, disease prevention, senior engagement, support for individuals with disabilities, and mental and behavioral health initiatives. The fund helps strengthen programs and services that improve quality of life and overall community well-being.

Animal Welfare

Supports efforts to protect and care for animals while helping strengthen animal welfare initiatives.

Arts and Culture

Supports efforts to strengthen and grow the local arts ecosystem across central Illinois and helps create vibrant communities and expand access to the arts for all.

Make More Impact with Illinois Gives

Illinois Gives allows eligible donors to receive a 25% Illinois state income tax credit when making a gift to qualifying endowed funds, helping support the causes you care about while creating lasting impact in central Illinois.

  • Apply for a tax credit through the State of Illinois
  • Make an eligible gift to a qualifying endowed fund at an accredited community foundation in Illinois
  • Receive a 25% Illinois state income tax credit
