PEORIA, IL, April 12, 2022—The Community Foundation of Central Illinois (CFCI) announced over $140,000 in grants will be awarded to 16 local nonprofits through the 2022 Community Arts Grant, The Arts Mean Business Fund Grant, and the Arts Capacity-Building Grant.
The Community Arts Grants are awarded to enhance the missions of organizations that offer programs in arts education, performing arts, musical and cultural activities, riverfront enhancement, and sculpture/visual fine arts for display. The Arts Mean Business Fund was established to support the generation of economic growth in the Peoria region through arts tourism, increased successful arts businesses, greater community participation in the arts, and financial support of the arts from local governments and economic development councils. The Arts Capacity-Building Grant was developed to assist nonprofit arts organizations in rebuilding organization capacity to better serve their constituencies and fulfill their missions.
“We’re proud to help support and strengthen the arts community in central Illinois by providing grants to so many deserving nonprofit organizations. This would not be possible without the generous donors who have created funds through CFCI. We are happy to carry out their wishes and share in their passions and desires to continue building awareness for the arts community,” says Mark Roberts, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Central Illinois.
